Tuna Sandwich Wrap, Unraveled

Plastic wrap contains a chemical toxin polyvinyl chloride commonly known as PVC. This toxic chemical is used in the production of plastic wraps on a global scale. Plastic wrap, amongst other plastic products, has ended up in our oceans reeking havoc on marine ecosystems. As plastic breaks down, these toxic chemicals are then released into the waters and into the organisms which inhabit these marine ecosystems. Plastic never truly decomposes and as a result, microplastics end up drifting through the large expanses of ocean water.  This series was made to bring about an awareness that the circulation of plastic toxins is cyclical and repetitive, and these plastics end up in the seafood we eat.
